Giraffens hals en bildningsroman - Judith Schalansky
Judith Schalansky: Förteckning över några förluster Pequod
Her first publication was the typographic compendium Fraktur mon Amour. From then she switched more to writing books for which she also did the graphical design. Judith Schalansky’s An Inventory of Losses forms a memory palace of its own. The book is a collection of twelve pieces, each sixteen pages long, which take as their theme something that has been irretrievably lost and survives only in legend, part, or echo. Judith Schalansky (born 20 September 1980, in Greifswald) is a German writer, book designer and publisher. German writer Judith Schalansky cherishes people, places, and species that once were and no longer are in her latest book, An Inventory of Losses.

| Adlibris 2013-02-15 2020-12-09 Judith Schalansky föddes 1980 i Östtyskland, nära Österjökusten. Atlas of Remote Islands: Fifty Islands I Have Never Set Foot On and Never Will is a book by Judith Schalansky originally published in Germany in 2009 by Mare Verlag (ISBN 978-3866481176).The atlas contains maps of 50 islands chosen by the author with accompanying descriptions of their natural and human histories, often written in a subjective, impressionistic style. Sällsynta djur och udda mäniskor fyller sidorna: strandsatta slavar och ensamma naturforskare, vilsna Judith Schalansky, born in Greifswald in 1980, lives in Berlin and works as a writer, book designer, and editor (of the prestigious natural history list at Matthes und Seitz).
